President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Tuesday Ukrainian forces have successfully conducted their first “ballistic missile” test.

Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin have been issued with a direct threat that Ukraine’s new missile can destroy the Russian capital city of “Moscow” following a “positive test.”

Ukrainian columnist for the Information Resistance group Oleksandr Kovalenko told RBC-Ukraine, “A Ukrainian missile will hit Moscow, hit something very important.

“After which Russia will be given an ultimatum: either you leave Ukraine, or we will destroy Moscow and St. Petersburg.”

He added: “The most important events of the war are ahead of us.”

Speaking of the new missile President Zelensky told a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday, “There is a large team of people working in the defense industry.

“These are not only state, but also private institutions. […] I am very grateful to our guys for doing their job. […] I thought it was too soon to talk about this, but I am going to say there was a test, a good one, of the first Ukrainian ballistic missile.”

The head of state congratulated the defense industry of Ukraine, saying, “I cannot disclose more details.”

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) Ukrainian forces can strike “at least 250 military objects” deep inside Russia using long-range weapons they already possess.

The ISW released satellite images and maps that clearly shows at least 250 military targets that can be attacks using the US supplied assignments of ATACMS (Army Tactical Missile Systems).

However, Washington said the ATACMS can be used to strike Russian units inside occupied areas within Ukraine and Crimea only.

A US national security official said that the long-range missiles will not be effective, but ISW analysts said there is “at least 350 military objects” inside Russia that could be easily attacked using the ATACMS.
