This week Russia has issued a warning to the West they are making changes in their doctrine to the use of nuclear weapons.
The Kremlin is to make the changes in their nuclear doctrine amid the escalation of the West helping Ukraine with billions of dollars’ worth of military equipment and sharing battlefield intelligence reports to Kyiv.
Russian state media Tass cited the Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Sunday,
“The work is at an advanced stage, and there is a clear intent to make corrections,” this decision is “connected with the escalation course of our Western adversaries” by helping Ukraine.
He added, “The time for completing this work is a rather difficult question, given that we are talking about the most important aspects of ensuring our national security.”

Sergey Mironov who is the party and faction leader of A Just Russia for Truth, warned Washington if they continue to supply long-range weapons to Ukraine, then the Kremlin “will be compelled” to take “retaliatory actions in accordance with the updated nuclear doctrine.”

“What the United States is doing today is not merely supporting Ukraine in the conflict with Russia. This is a genuine proxy war waged against our country through Ukrainian Armed Forces. The entire world recognizes that the United States and its allies are parties to the conflict in Ukraine.
“If the United States further escalates the conflict by transferring more powerful and long-range weapons systems to Ukraine for strikes on Russian territory, Russia will be compelled to take retaliatory actions in accordance with the updated nuclear doctrine. A new edition is currently being prepared. I am confident that it will be formulated to preclude the possibility of the United States waging war with Russia with impunity through proxy forces.”
